Mods
Choose a tool by the mod's installation instructions, not its popularity. REFramework loads scripts and plugins, Fluffy manages supported asset mods, and DD2gether provides experimental co-op. None is an official CAPCOM feature or a universal compatibility fix.
Compatibility after an update
A game update can make a particular script, plugin or archive mod incompatible. Check the author's supported game build, dependencies and recent release notes. A manager installing successfully does not prove that the installed mod works with Dark Arisen.
Back up the complete Steam remote save folder, establish an unmodded launch baseline, then install one mod at a time. This site links to author-controlled releases and does not host archives, trainers or save editors.

Did Dark Arisen break mods?
Compatibility is mod-specific. The author must identify a compatible release; neither a manager nor this guide certifies every older mod against the expansion.
