Romance and affinity

Dragon's Dogma 2 has NPC affinity and dedicated romance scenes, but no marriage system. Ulrika and Wilhelmina have quest-based scenes; the broader affinity system applies to more NPCs than those two.

Three different things

SystemWhat it doesDo not confuse it with
AffinityAn NPC's relationship with the Arisen, affected by interactions, gifts, and quests.A universal marriage or exclusive partner menu.
Dedicated romance questsSpecific story scenes for Ulrika and Wilhelmina.A scene automatically unlocked by any single gift.
Rose Chateau servicesA separate service with its own access requirements.Completion of Wilhelmina's personal quest.

Ulrika: return to Melve and follow her move

Her quest route runs through Readvent of Calamity in Melve, Trouble on the Cape around Harve, and Home Is Where the Hearth Is. Return to these settlements when the relevant story events develop rather than assuming her initial location never changes.

Follow the Ulrika walkthrough for the quest order and scenes. Main-story advancement can close opportunities, so resolve her available quests before rushing a major story milestone. Gifts support affinity but do not replace the required quest steps.

Wilhelmina: the important prerequisites

Gifts and relationship expectations

Use an NPC's preferences when choosing gifts, and finish their requests where available. Raising affinity is a relationship mechanic, not a promise of a bespoke romance scene for every NPC.

Game8's NG+ guide says affinity resets in the next cycle. A relationship established through gifts and quests must therefore be rebuilt. No fabricated personal playthrough, guaranteed best gift for every NPC, or exact hidden affinity score is used here.

Questions

Does Dragon's Dogma 2 have romance?

Yes: NPC affinity and dedicated quest scenes exist. There is no marriage system, and the two named quest lines are not the full scope of NPC affinity.

Is Wilhelmina's scene missable?

Game8 treats it as potentially missable and highlights the courtyard cutscene reached by leaving Allard's chamber through the window during An Unsettling Encounter.
